Why Two Different Covers?

Since I could not use the same cover I use on Amazon on Apple Books, I used this photo taken in Manzanar when I visited the Concentration Camp in May 2021.
I could feel their stories and desire to be anywhere other than in Manzanar, California.

Net Profits from “Listen, Listen To My Heart’s Song” & “Atreus’s View From a Tent” will be contributed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help fight Blood Cancer.

Apple, Amazon, and publishing/printing houses like Lulu, Outskirts Press, Barnes & Noble, etc., all have different format requirements, photo restrictions, uploading format preferences making it nearly impossible to have the same cover across various platforms.
If an author is willing to pay substantially for uniformity, there are many companies that will arrange for placement, creation of covers, ebook formatting, editing per page, translation, etc.

An African proverb says

“When an old man dies, a library burns.”

“This book is about remembering and honoring stories from people’s lives I have been fortunate to know, if only for a flash of time.

It’s also about trust in yourself and others. In La Petit Prince Antoine de Saint-Exupery wonders aloud about how adults have lost the ability to see what’s really important.

For all the people who told me stories and pointed out how different results can be achieved when they were listened to, this book is theirs.
To put together this unique collection of stories, I asked for contributions from my friends, associates, teachers, students, administrators, military officers, directors, and employees of NGOs, police, nurses, doctors, and most importantly, kids from three to ninety.
I’ve added comments and corrections where I feel clarity and context are required.”
